You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if
you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity,
he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.
-Clay P. Bedford
I was born and raised in a small Texas town in the northern part of the panhandle. I went to college in Wichita, KS, and graduated from Friend’s University with a degree in Education and a minor in Spanish. I have been teaching at CISD for 19 years. My first 2 years were spent at High School aiding and teaching Spanish 1. I moved to Elementary and taught 1st and 2nd Special Ed for a year and am currently starting my 16th year teaching 1st grade. Along with a 1st-8th grade certification, I am certified Special Ed and ESL.
I have many blessings in my life including my husband Jay and my two sons, Trenton and Kaleb. I love to read, take pictures, cook, organize, window shop and spend time being with family and friends.
I am looking forward to a wonderful year, and I’m excited to be a part of the lives of each of my students. I truly love teaching and feel this is where God has led me. Thank you so much for sharing your child’s life with me! Please contact me anytime if you have any questions or concerns!
